Kenneth Horne

1907 -- 1969

Kenneth Horne starred in Much Binding In The Marsh, Beyond Our Ken and Round The Horne on radio and had his own TV show, Horne A'Plenty.

As well as being a much-loved comedian, he was a successful businessman; notably as chairman of Chad Valley Toys, leading him to excise all references to Monopoly and other games from scripts as they were made by rival firms.

Kenneth Horne died of a heart attack while making a speech. He had just completed the fourth series of Round the Horne and a fifth had been commissioned.
