The Guilty Parties
Count Olaf
Charming, witty, handsome and debonaire, a man for all seasons [and crimes, Ed.]. Count Olaf previously ran a hugely successful Theatre Troupe but has recently dedicated his considerable intelligence to taking control of the Baudelaire Fortune. He is a master of disguise and a talented actor, capable of baffling even the stupidest adult. Count Olaf is widely travelled [largely at running pace and away from the Baudelaire Orphans, Ed.] and has tried his hand at a number of careers (research assistant, sailor, etc).
Lemony Snicket
Lemony Snicket is the vile, insufferable, rogue who claims to accurately chronicle the lives of the Baudelaire Orphans. If you insist on knowing more, click here.
Daniel Handler
Who? Never heard of him!
Brett Helquist
Snicket's cohort, Mr Helquist's illustrations adorn the A Series of Unfortunate Events books. If you can offer him some more worthwhile employment please click here.
The Editor
Given that the Editor is over thirty and always goes to the 8 to 12 yrs section of the bookshop first you may understand why she prefers not to say too much :-)
