Introduction To EFT

Emotional freedom, using EFT, relies on acknowledging the negative emotions that are causing you physical or emotional pain. These negative emotions (bad memories, negative beliefs about yourself, etc) are put in to a statement that underpins each use of EFT. Once you have idenified this negativity, you can “tap it away” using the tapping points.

EFT -- The Basics

EFT can be broken down in to two easy stages :

  1. Identify and vocalise the negative emotion.
  2. Tap on the EFT tapping points.

One thing that many people find odd about EFT, particualarly people who have been using affirmations to try to deal with their negative emotions, is that you must clearly state that negativity as a part of the EFT. It may sound counter-intuitive but it is a vital part of using EFT successfully.
