The recipes on these pages are the ones that my sister and I use when we bake.
I found out that I'm gluten intolerant [aka Coeliac] in the summer of 2003. I mourned the loss of cake for a long time. Then we started baking our own and, as it turns out, they're much better than shop-bought! We take recipes from all over -- but notably Marguerite Patten's cookbooks -- and adapt them to gluten-free. Then we start playing around and adding things. These are our favourite treats.
All of the recipes are easy to make and the results are delicious.
A Note About Flour
I use Dove Farm Gluten Free Plain Flour and I'd recommend using a plain flour (Gluten Free, obviously!) when making these recipes. That said, a big part of baking (for me, at least) is experimenting so I'd also suggest that you try out different types of flour whenever you can.
