An excellent software program for beginner to advanced genealogists, Legacy Family Tree 5.0 is super-intuitive and includes all of the standard features you could want: GEDCOM import/export, a wide variety of reports, global search and replace, auto-complete...even an alarm clock feature to keep you from getting sidetracked. Five tabbed screens -- Family View, Pedigree View, Descendant View, Chronology View (Deluxe Version only) and Index View -- and a customizable user interface, allow you to easily view your data the way you want. Along with a pretty comprehensive collection of charts and reports, Legacy's publishing features automate the process of creating a family Web page and also offer a fairly good Family History Book feature. The program also offers several unique capabilities, such as Location Notes for entering historical information about important places in your family's history, and custom Address Labels and Name Tags (complete with pictures or three-generation pedigree charts) - perfect for that next family reunion.
