Playing Chords On The Ukulele

I started with the old “Three Chord Trick” of C, F and G7. With just these three chords you can make a passable Ukulele player and strum along to plenty of songs.

More Chords: A, A7, Amaj, C7, Cmaj, Cmaj7, D, D7, Edim, Emaj, Emaj7, Fmaj, G, Gmaj7, Gsh7

Chords taken from Ukulele Chords by Ron Middlebrook, used without permission. Please see the Books/DVDs page for more details.

The numbers represent your fingers; the first finger is your index finger, the second is your middle finger and the third is your ring finger. Press the string down firmly just above the fret. Now strum!

Practice each chord and changing between them. It's best to practice your chords and your strumming separately before you put it all together and play songs.
