Lesson Three - A Candle Holder

Start with the mixture of crimson and aureoline as before. Cover all of the rim of the candle holder. While it's still wet, add in French Blue for the shaded areas. For the reflections of the lighter areas, use a dry brush to lift the color. When this is almost dry, paint the lip of the holder in the same way. Don't forget the slight sahdow cast by the lip on the rim. Move to the interior and the socket itself in the same way. Add in some yellow ochre for the yellow-grey shades of the socket.
